Hi everybody!  

I am sadly announcing that I won't be much active over Deviantart again. I seriously tried but I can't keep this cosplay page/blog active as I always wanted to  
I graduated last year and immediately started my master degree course, which will last two years and it is seriously stealing almost all my time, between courses and exams  

I'll try to keep the gallery updated, but that means posting loads of pics at the same time all together and then disappearing again, which I think it's not fair to all who have followed my work throughout those two years. 

So many things in my life have changed: I broke free from a relationship that was suffocating me, I graduated, I travelled a lot, I lost an important member of my family and got through one of the biggest disappointments of my life. But I've also met new people, improved my cosplays and now I am moving to a foreign country again, for awhile.  

I want to thank all of you, even if we never spoke, even if we don't know each other, through your watches, favorites and comments you made me believe in myself and in my favorite hobby, while I was feeling worthless and unappreciated.  

But this is no goodbye! If you want, you can find me on Instagram  , where it's easier for me to be active, since all the notifications come directly in my phone, wherever I am. You can follow me and send me DMs, I'll answer all your messages! Also for collaborations, interviews and such you still can contact me over there. I am always more than happy to take part in projects that involve my work as a cosplayer!

Hi everyone!  
I recently posted some pics of my Princess Serenity photoshoot, I hope you liked them  I am really happy with how the cosplay turned out, especially because it has been a very low budget project. I often hear people complaining that cosplaying might be too expensive, which is often true, but you still can get a very cute and decent costume without spending loads of money on it  to prove that, I decided to show you the making of Princess Serenity dress and accessories   
Let's get started!  

The dress 

First thing I did was open my closet to look for something that could be useful to make the Princess' dress. I found an old sleeveless top I bought at Hollister in Manhattan many years ago and an old white tutu interely made out of tulle (you can find greats tutorials on how to sew a tulle tutu on Youtube). The tutu wasn't long enough , so I decided to look for a long plain white skirt to make the dress longer. I luckly found it in an online thrift shop: the girl who was selling it decided to give it to me for free!  




The bodice decorations 
From a previous project (Sailor Moon boots and collar ) I still had some glitter foam, from which I cut a series of connected circles. I first made a paper model to decide the size of the circles. I've sewn them on the bodice the day of the convention/photoshoot, because my bodice was enterely made of shirring  . If you are lucky enough to find a sleeveless bodice in your closet or in a thrift shop which is not made of shirring you can immediately sew the circles on it  

Princess Serenity has a line of golden pearls on her bodice. I found the pearls at the local market . I measured my waist with a white ribbon, which I had at home, and hot glued the pearls on it , always because I couldn't sew them on the shirring . (If you are going to hot glue the pearls please remember to wear a glow, since you can easily burn your fingertips!   )



The sleeves 
The white things in the previous image are the curtain holders   that I used to make the sleeves, together with the large elastic band. I found them at a Chinese shop in my city:bademoticon:. I've measured my arm with the elastic band and then I've cut it and sewn it to make two armcuffs. I then hotglued the curtain holders on it (2 holders on each elastic band), of course I also removed the magnets from the curtain holders  




The back bow:bademoticon: 
Unluckly, I don't have WIP pictures of the back bow   I made it with some tulle I still had at home, it is very easy and you can find plenty of youtube tutorials on how to make it. Tulle is a very cheap fabric, you can find it at your local fabric store for just few dollars.:bademoticon: 

The main dress is done! If your budget is very low, you can stop here! Total : 17,20$ 

Please, note that I use my real hair to cosplay! If your hair isn't blonde or long enough, you will have to add the price of the wig to the total!  

Optional: the wings 
In the manga and in some scenes of the anime, Princess Serenity has a wonderful pair of  large white wings . Since my budget was quite low, I decided to buy some pre-made wings and then make them larger by adding cardboard and feathers    . 


Optional: the shoes:bademoticon: 
You can't really see Princess Serenity's shoes. In the manga and in some of Naoko's illustrations, she's often barefoot. Since I had to wear the cosplay for a convention and I couldn't go barefoot, I decided to make my own Serenity shoes, also because the dress is so long that I had to lift it up to walk, and the shoes could show . I decided to buy some white flats, because I can't walk in heels and I find them very very uncomfortable  I bought the flats at Auchan, kind of the European Walmart  

I removed the little bows   and cut some tiny golden circles from the foam I previously used to make the bodice decorations

I hotglued the circles on the points of the shoes, and the little bows I previously cut out on the back of the shoes 

Aaand we're done! That's how I did my Princess Serenity cosplay! My total: 30$ 
I know it's not perfect, but I am very happy with the result and the low budget  the pieces of my Sailor Moon collection (The Moon Stick  and the Legendary Silver Crystal ) that I could use as cosplay items made it also pretty accurate.

Following various kinds of trouble I can finally announce my cosplay programme for the convention "Romics 2016" which will be held from September 29th to October 2nd in Rome, Italy

                 

Ebbene, sabato sarò Princess Serenity versione alata mentre domenica Sailor Moon R  
On Saturday, 1st October I'll be winged Princess Serenity, while on Sunday, 2nd October I'll be Sailor Moon R!

Spero che non mi capitino altri imprevisti come purtroppo mi succede spesso! Se mi vedete salutatemi/facciamo foto che mi fa sempre piacere 
I really hope not to have other unexpected accidents, which unfortunately happen to me quite a lot! If you see me please stop to say hi/take pics :3

Hi everyone!  

I haven't been posting anything lately and I'm so sorry for it! The reason is simply because I haven't done any photoshoot or been at any convention. Next convention I'm attending will be Romics in October 2016. I am planning to go as winged princess Serenity, but since I ordered some material online I am not 100% sure I can get it in time for the convention. If so I'll probably go as Sailor Moon again  but if a friend of mine will come as Conan Edogawa, I'll probably join her as Vermouth, who knows!  

Anyway, many people have been asking me if I'll ever cosplay as Harley Quinn, who is really popular now and also a character many girls are cosplaying. Obviously, I am talking about the version played by Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad.   I haven't seen the movie yet, but I can say I am not a fan of DC comics, so I don't feel like cosplaying as her, even if I like her appereance and I find her beautiful. Don't get me wrong: I am not saying that cosplaying as a character you don't know much about is a problem. I've seen many great cosplayers cosplaying as characters from movies which aren't even out yet (like Disney's Moana, for example:bademoticon: ) just because they like the outfits or apperance. I'm just saying that I don't feel like doing so. I always cosplay characters which I relate to, which I find similar to me not only in the appereance but especially in their behaviour and personality.
The main reason I'll never cosplay as Harely Quinn is beacause I find her a very negative character. I've seen many girls calling her toxic relationship with the Joker their relationship goals, without even knowing how often the Joker hits, rapes and humilates Harley, with her consent. She does everything that the Joker asks her, even knowing that he treats her like shit. She has no pride and no self respect. 

That's why I strongly doubt you'll ever see me as Harley Quinn!

Hi everyone  
 I haven't been posting anything lately, not only because lack of time (university is taking my life away ) but also because I have so many unfinished projects I'm trying to ultimate. By the way, I've been thinking alot in those days: it has been six years of cosplaying for me, and even if I'm still not considering myself a professionist I think I've reached a good level. I've done many cosplays but the thing I regret most is that I don't have good and professional pictures for every costume I did : for some cosplays I barely have one or two pics taken by random people at conventions. This is pretty bad, since I've put effort in them: I'm talking about my Liz Thompson (Soul Eater) and Misa Amane (Death Note) costumes which I did by myself many years ago. I also would like to have better Tinkerbell, Luna Lovegood and Serenity pics (the last one I would like to improve by making her wings and her crown). With the good weather I hope to find the time for good photoshoots, I wouldn't like to give up on them.
The reason why I created this Deviantart page is to show my work as cosplayer: many cosplayers here also have a Facebook  page (which probably gets you more visibility among other people, not only artists and experts like here). Do you think I should create one? I'm not really enthusiastic about that: the fact that many people I know irl would get to see the page gives me the chills , together with the fact that you should advertise your page in some way, in order to get more people to see your work. I don't like that, I'm not good at advertising myself or my work: that's why I love Deviantart , beacause you can simply share your pictures in the groups to get people to see your work. However, I've seen many cosplayers get photoshoots, jobs and prizes thanks to the visibility their facebook page gave them. Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to open my facebook page. For now I decided to keep this Deviantart page focused only on my work as cosplayer; of course I have many other interests, like collecting disney and anime dolls, figures and gadgets. I also love japanese, '50s and victorian cute fashion. I love to travel, I've been in many places in the whole Europe (as you know I'm Italian , I live in Rome although I've lived in Munich, Germany for sometime)  but I've also been in the Usa, in Canada   and in Japan . I study to become an interpreter or translator: I speak Italian, English, Spanish and German and I also would really really love to learn Japanese. I decided to dedicate my Instagram profile to my personal interests and my experiences so if you like you can follow me there  (just look for glowingsnow)  
Back to my cosplays, I am currently working on my Sailor Moon R cosplay, which I'm going to bring to Romics (the comics and cosplay convention held here in Rome). I am pretty satisfied with everything except the odangos, which I made with hot glue: they look too flat for me, I hope I will have time to remake them. Moreover, I'm still looking for the perfect boots, which I can't find. I also hope to finally do my Alice in Wonderland cosplay, which I promised many time ago.
